As a professor, it is my responsibility to inspire students to approach their art from a place of truth and self-awareness. If I can instill in them this approach through the study of theory and practice, then they will be able to create works that resonate with humanity and have the power to free the oppressed, inspire the uninspired, and change the perspective of the curmudgeons. It is my belief that filmmaking and storytelling should be approached through a polyvalent perspective that includes: a historical lens, aesthetics, cinematography, and the three act structure.
